| Hi, I have had my 95 Slicktop's fog lights wired as day time running lights for almost a year now and they have recently changed operation during an install of some HID low beams. It could be a complete coincidence or maybe not; the HID install is complete plug and play and I cannot think of a reason that anything done during that install could have influenced their current behavior. I followed one of the old write up's on how to have the fog lights come on without the low beams on by cutting and then tapping into a ACC wire for the fog light relay. For the last year my fog lights have acted in this manner (assume Fog light switch is ON): Key Off: Fog lights Off
Key in AUX position or car running with head lights off: Fog lights On
Now they act like this:
Key Off: Fog lights off
Key in AUX position or car running with head lights off: Fog lights Off
Key in AUX position or car running with parking lights ON: Fog lights On
Key in AUX position or car running with head lights On: Fog lights On
I do not remember how the OEM set up was but I do not think they would have the Fog lights be On with only the parking lights on. Besides, wire do not magically reconnect. I did a visual check of the fuses and all looked good - I will go back an OHM them to make sure there is not a break but can't figure out how a fuse could change the relay action.
